Description: The Commander’s Family of Restaurants, Inc. is a management company that provides financial/accounting services to various restaurants including Commander’s Palace in New Orleans, Commander’s Palace in Las Vegas, and Brennan’s of Houston and various non-restaurant entities. The administrative assistant/office manager is responsible in assisting the CFO and Controller with their daily duties and overseeing daily office operations. These duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing inter and intra office mail distribution.
  • Answering telephone for general office line and CFO.
  • Type correspondence for CFO and Controller.
  • Oversees the maintenance of corporate documents for certain companies including updating minute books and other.
  • Preparation of various licensing and tax forms and maintenance of the calendar for taxes, licenses and permits.
  • Maintenance of all files for CFO including financial reports, benefit plan files, tax filings and other.
  • Oversees the dissemination of all financial information to management and owners (i.e. monthly financial statements, memos, letters, etc.)
  • Troubleshoots problems with all office equipment including telephone system, server (for internet access), copiers, printers, etc.
  • Assist CFO and Controller with their daily work as needed.
  • Assist other employees with various tasks as needed or in their absence.

We are located in the Garden District and offer benefits including group health insurance, group life insurance and a 401k retirement plan. The salary will be determined based on the experience level of the candidate.

Requirements for application:
Strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to manage and complete a large number of small projects
